I am not sure of the name of this attractive Japanese temple in central Fukuoka city, but will look it up later. Okay, it's the Sofukuji Temple off Taihak U Dori Avenue.
"Dedicated in Dazaifu in 1241,it was relocated to the present site in 1600,at the time of the construction of Fukuoka Castle. In the large precinct, the Sanmon Gate, formerly the main gate of Fukuoka Castle, and the Buddha Hall, composed of the Hanamiyagura and Tsukimiyagura towers, are the main attractions."

Unfortunately, the high heat & humidity played havoc with my camera battery, & this is a reshoot around 11 am. Earlier shots at 9 am were far better but didn't turn out.

I like the POV. Maybe needs a little more DOF in my opinion but thE POV is lovely.

I would imagine the 9 am light being better Chris. At 11 you start to get that harsh light that I try to avoid. Usually when I shoot I do it between 6am and 10 am and then in the later afternoon/early evening. The harshness here is visible. Too bad about the 9 am shots not turning out. Still, despite the harsh light you managed a fairly nice photo. The colors are pretty good and overall the exposure is good too.

I hear the birds singing in this garden. Unfortunately the earlier shots were lost, I think there were more details in the shadow parts of the temple visible.

Cet endroit respire la tranquillité, vraiement très beau !
Merci de nous l'avoir fait découvrir

Great composition to this, with the pond on side and in the foreground, and the building behind and on the other side - well balanced. The lighting is a bit harsh, which I guess is the result of your battery problem, but it's a beautiful spot. Well done!

From the thumnail I was wondering where was the pond! It appears you've got harsh light here..but you've shown us the details really well. Your POV is excellent & the details are very clear. Love the overall greenness.
