Wong Duan Beach Photo

Photographer’s Note

Wong Duan Beach is one of the more developed beaches on Ko Samet, a tropical island paradise 4 hours by bus to the south east of Bangkok. Ao Kiu Na Nok Beach, to the south, is much harder to access, but is almost deserted & pristine.

Ko Samet is an 8km long, dagger shaped island, in the Gulf of Thailand, & was not affected by the tsunami.

Lovely tropical scene from this beautiful beach, the colours and sharpness are very good, nice turquoise sea. you did an excellent work with this scanned picture, looks like if you got it yesterday.

A colourful, alluring shot of this exotic beach area. I like the different gradations of sand and water in the foreground, all nicely contrasted with the lush greenery. The people lounging and walking enhance and warm the scene. The water is tantalizingly clear. Well captured. I want to be there.

Well, there's a reason why it is so popular; it's incredibly beautiful. To my eyes the white beaches and light blue water looks like paradise. I like the curve of the beach in this shot, which winds around the frame and gives this a dynamic look. Good shot!

This looks like paradise on earth! What impresses me most is the the turquoise color of the water and the whiteness of the sand. I also like the detail of the person lying in the middle of the beach. Great POV!

Mais c'est le paradis cet endroit !!!
Il y a le ciel........le soleil.......et la mer.......allongée sur le sable.......(comme dans la chanson), cela me donne du baume au cœeur avec ce froid aujourd'hui.
Superbe cliché avec de belles couleurs.

Hey Chris. I can only imagine how bright that sand must have been so you are to be commended for keeping it under such control. The high saturation is pleasing to the eye. Good to hear it wasn't affected by the tsunami. Wonderful shot Chris.

he he again one of these jet lag pictures that can hit you in the depths of the winter, it looks like straight out of a travel brochure, I like htis nice beach curve and the fruits on the center tree, they add nice red flakes to its green that caught my attention.

Hi Chris, I like this well composed picture, a paradise environment with green-blue water and white sandy beach. It looks that it is quite crowded over there.
The red tree leaves make a nice contrast in the environment. A very well taken shot.

Just the kind of scene that makes you want to jump in the photo. All the element of the photo work well togheter and make for good composition.

I am leaving for Costa Rica in 3 days, so hopefully I will get to witness scenes similar to this real soon....
