Photographer’s Note
The city in question would be Toronto and I guess you want to know how this city keeps all of Canada together; It is because rest of Canadians outside Toronto loves to hate it ... and that is the glue that keeps Canada together.
Again going back to the biggest city in Canada, quite a concrete jungle we have there (ppl from big cities of USA, please don't laugh).. LOLS.
I took this photo on a fine smog free October day and what you see here is the skyline as being reflected from the CBC building in Toronto downtown. I am not sure if I should have included a broader view, Please look at the workshop and I would appreciate if you could let me know your preferences. No PP besied some cropping and rotation was involved in this photo.
CBC is Canadian Broadcasting Company, pretty much on lines with BBC. I am a big fan of the documentaries on CBC.
Have a Good Day!

Hello Sarlu.
I do prefer the Workshop, but an advantage of this one here is that we can see more detail.
Very good seen, like if you had added a PS effect to the picture but without adding nothing. Only that street lamp bothers me, but that's not important.

Hi Sarju,
I prefer this version to the one in the workshop. The one in the workshop is more informative, since we have an idea of the dimension and the setting of it. But here, it's more "art" to me. It's like "liquid buildings"! Very good point of view! I think that Jurgen have a point with the lamp. But, it is very minor. Well done!

Bonjour Sarju, comment ça va?
I got to stay away from the forum, it's takes up to much of my time and I cant keep up with critiquing - not certain that's a word, but you know I'm French ;-) -. I prefer this version to the WS, because I enjoy the graphical designs created by all the lines and also the close-up view of the distortion. This is a well tough out shot, I really enjoy the results.
I am surprised that this is TO, it's way to pretty, and it’s got to be MTL or something!

Hello Sarju. This is an interesting way to photograph a cityscape. It's much more artistic than a normal photo and it removes all of those harsh straight lines. Good shot.

Good afternoon Sarju -
A very nice reflection image looking at the skyscrapers of Toronto. I am not sure I like the street light right up front or not. It is placed on a window line and might be easy to remove if you give it a try. I havn't looked at the WS yet so I will edit this when I do.
Thanks for sharing
I'm back: I like this one much better than the WS image. Even though the WS gives more of a sense of place it is something that I feel is unnecessary.

The reflection is really interesting and produces a strange effect, due to the grey lines... I like the light in the foreground...
You managed the lines well.

SUperb shot Sarju;
Very imaginative and well captured on your part. I like the warped distortion of the buildings in the reflection- still clear enough to make out detail.
nicely done Sarju,

I like that reflection! I guess I'm 'into' reflections right now, but I think that they tend to be more beautiful than the direct and ordinary view. As for the workshop - I prefer it, as it is more unusual and it really jumps out at me. Since you left a critique for me it looks like I'm obligated to leave one for you ;-) Sorry, I couldn't resist! I should contact you separately to ask about interesting locations in Toronto as I will be there a week from now. Great work Sarju!

Bonjour Sarju,
Amicalement.
Daniel.

Ciao Sarju. I spent a lot of time comapring them both, and I think I have say that I prefer the ws. It was tough to decide, beacuse both are excellent. I like the natural framing of the reflected surface it gives a more informative but yet very clever view. Either way it was well seen, and well captured.

A very good idéa Sarju and the result is just great! The reflection of the buildings is superb. In the small town where I live there are no scyscrapers so I can´t test this myself:-( But thank you for the inspiration anyway! :-)

Hi Sarju,
what a great "toronto skyline". You were lucky also with the sky here. I like both versions, mybee the WS leaves more to immagine what can it be. Great job.

Hi Sarju - it's good to see both, but I prefer the main one. The windows make an interesting frame in WS but to me it looked like a TV screen superimposed on a facade (that was probably the architect's idea) and I didn't like the parking lot below, the twisted skyline of the original is much more effective.

Hai Sarju, nice catch of the reflection from the windows. I prefer the one in the workshop as it looks like a giant TV screen! 8-)

Hi Sarju, I consider I am an outsider of Toronto, but I don’t hate Toronto :D. I have visited Toronto a few times, I like the city and the suburb of the city.
A well seen and a well taken picture with the impressive clarity of the twisted skyscrapers. Only imagination can put the original image together. Good PoV and nice capture of the blue sky to make a nice contrast. Well done.

Hi Sarju,
Great reflections which appear almost like a watercolour with the wavy shapes. The blue sky warms the scene. Great graphics for a great capture.

Cool view- the buildings look like they've been daubed on and washed out. I like how the street light is in front of the abstract reflection, bringing it to reality. It's interesting how Toronto is disliked- I can think of a few large American cities that get that. I like both the photos- Good job!

Hi Sarju, spectacular archi capture here! Very sharp and colourfull. Love the distortion in combination with the strict grid of the glass facade.
I think this one works better then the WS from the idea that the projection that must be involved in a city that is loved to hate is nicely portrayed here.
Have a nice weekend!

These sorts of building reflection shots are not original Sarju, but this is definitely one of the better ones that I have seen. The distortions created on the individual window panes make this a very interesting composition to study. I don't know whether you have counted up the votes for the orignal versus the workshop yet, but you can add my vote for the original (although both are interesting). Cheers . . . David

Salut Sarju, Je préfère cette version c'est plus poétique. Nos cités modernes sont cubiques et rectilignes alors que là c'est presque le retour à la nature. La photo, comme l'art en général, est faite pour nous sortir de notre pesante réalité, non ?

Pretty good image. I'm not a big fan of these skyscraper reflections but the distortions caused by the slight glass curvature render this one quite outstanding. It reminds me of a water surface. Good story to go with it!

I like this shot better than the Workshop. It is simpler and gives a nice graphical composition of shapes and forms reflected from other building. If you know how to do perspective corection on photoshop this could be made better by removing the vanishing point. Very well done.
Also, thank you for your visit and comments on my photo, "Yavapai Point".

I must have missed this one during my hard-drive disaster. I absolutely love it; it's so arty and abstract. The colours are so vibrant and the shine on the glass makes this a first class work. It's going in my favourites and I'll take you over the 100 mark.

Hi Sarju,
I think you did good by going for this shot and not the one in the WS. I feel the WS has a lot more unwanted details that is not supposed to be the focus here. I feel that would distract the viewer.
