The Peoples Park Hotel in Chongqing (Gonguan Renmin), is 5 star, & way above my budget. It is a copy of the Temple of Heaven in Beijing. Note that there are 2 Renmin Parks in CQ. This is the western one.
I did a search in google, & found only 1 poor quality image of this place. Taken with the lens at about 70mm. Nothing I could do about the overcast sky.

wow, this is THE hotel, amazing; and the garden in front of the building is more like versal, than china;
nice composition and colours despite that the sky was a kind-of-washed out;
have a nice weekend,

Beautiful and colourful image of a nice place.

Nice POV and the steps going up on both sides help us to focus on the main building after enjoying the beautiful foreground. The slight misty effect infront of the building helps to act as a transition connecting the sharp and vivid foreground to the sky. Nicely seen and captured!!

This hotel looks really impressive and expensive.A fine perspective here from the park,along the stairs to the hotel.The lonely little girl is a nice detail.Looks like a great terrain for wedding photographers.

I have this same camera, Chris! They were built to last. I like the composition of this scene, with the building in such a strong location. The greenery beds in front step up to it nicely, too. You may want to consider getting a graduated neutral density filter for situations like these: darker on top to control the whites in a sky like this. Nice work, sir!

Very good composition with the boy, in red, alone and looking straightforward.
The architecture is splendid!
Too bad the sky is so white..
I like it a lot.

Toujours ces couleurs très froides qui caractérisent ta série !
J’aime beaucoup ce graphique qui met l’accent sur les lignes et l’architecture urbaine !
Très bon travail mon ami !
Merci pour le partage

Hi Chris. You can tell just from the curb that this place is the real thing. What an imposing and beautiful piece of property. Considering the overcast the shot came out great. Very nice one Chris.

Quite an impressive hotel variation here, would not fit my budget either ;-)
Good bottom up view to make it appear even more impresive and inclusion of a person to give scale.
Have a nice week end,

A well composed scene portraying this grant hotel. Your POV is superb, and one's eye travels into the frame to absorb each layer of interest, upward to the hotel. The wall of the foreground pool as well as the long steps and railings greatly enhance and captivate. The walkway on the left neatly balances the steps to the right. The colourfully clad person standing at the pool adds a human dimension of warmth. This is a first class shot. Well done.
