Photographer’s Note
Pokhara is an attractive small town in west Nepal, built around freshwater 'Fewa Lake', which is overlooked by the Annapurnas, a part of the Himalayas.
I liked the alignment of the boats on a central, pivotal, composition, & the graphism. The slightly overexposed background has been burnt in, marginally.

Very nice depth in this one Chris, and I like the light on the foreground contrasted with the rather misty background. The arrangement of the boats is graphically interesting and of course having the person in the shot adds a lot of interest, not to mention scale.

hi chris, an awesome view here - the boats facing their tops made "a starfish" from the boats; and the vastness of the place is underlined by the small boy;
really very nice composition;
have a nice we, jerzy

Hi Chris
I like the golden morning (or maby evning) lighton the boats it realy sets the blue off nicley. My eye flows bown from the closest boat along the river and down to the far horizon. The person give a nice perspective and some life to the shot.
It is a shame about all the rubbish on the shoure.
Cheers Rob

To the edge of overexposure by so much sunlight this boy nicely placed between all the boats, lying crisscross around up to this misty background.
Good shot with these boats.

A very nice compo here, nice the way it fades to mist. Maybe the contrast a little too high here, the bright parts of the nearerboat are a little burnt out, but lovely compo, the attribute I always value the highest in any shot.

Hi Chris,
I like too this star disposition of the boats and the good light that strikes them, the coming person animates the view, I'm wondering whether to crop the mountains or not...
Have a nice day,
Jean-Yves

Good composing for this one, Chris - the way in which the boats are sprawled across the foreground makes for a nice depth. The overall haziness of the scene is also well rendered. Contrast looks a wee bit overpronounced.

A fine and bit of magic view of this lake of the mountains - Overexposed or not - it adds extra to the image together with the view of those boats - thanks Chris.

nice image Chris, I like the way the boats are scattered on the shore, and the contrast between the colorful boats and the greyish background. too bad there is not much difference between the sky and the lake.

hello Chris.
I like the haphazard position of the boats with the first one taking us towards the others.
About the overexpositon background,it looks like mist,so not that bad at all.

Hi Chris
Wonderful shot. Love the arrangement of the boats, in its natural way.
Yeah, it's slightly over-exposed but still intact the attractness of the photo, Chris.
Well done and syabas.

Very nice composition. I like a lot how the boat in a diagonal position works like an “arrow” forcing us to look deeper into the image, besides showing its inside structure. Also like the detail of the kid who brings life to the composition. A small reduction of the contrasts would produce a milder image which would be nice.

Hi Chris, I keep falling for the nepal photo's... (I still have so many more Nepal shots to post...) very attractive capture of the lake. seems like you've been playing with saturation? Anyway, I like the colours and the composition of the boats very much.
cheers, femke

Hi Chris. Very nice photo. The colours are both bold and clear. I like the way the water points us in a direction outward that we cannot see. Yes, the geometric pattern of the boats is perfect. Great the way you caught the boy in the photo. The sun shining on the boats is good contrast against the thick sky. Very nice composition. Job well done. Thanks...

Nice, very nice indeed. I like the way the boats form a star. And the presence of a boy around. The background is fabulous. A bit with contrast perhaps. Keep well - Izzet

Hi Chris
I am getting to know this place and the way of adjusting the boat. Now they are standing in the order in the weed. There was probably a beach at one time there.
There are also more pieces of rubbish now there.
Regards
Anna
