I found another shot from Lalibela stone churches that I want to show you. Here I like most burnt out piece showing how strong is african light making its way into deepest caves

Beautiful lights and colours. If only image was a wee sharper. But then... that is definitely not taking away from the dramatic impact of the picture. Well seen and captured Swiatek.

Hi Swiatek,
Nice composition you have here. Like the way you have framed it with the sunrays falling strongly into the caves. The men appear to huddle around together to avoid the intense heat..! Nice display of colours.

Again very painterly; you paint with light, Swiatek which, as you know, in Africa is not so easily done! The three men in the shadows are like figures out of the Bible (the three Magi for example) - they benefoit from some of that light too, but diffused, when compared to the shoes. this is grand stuff! Anther brilliantlly colorful shot from you, Swiatek. The subtle light on the men is just fabulous. I only wish the film had enough lattitude to extend the entire scale of brightness from the spot of dazzle on the left.

Your photos reflect the dignity of these priests in a way no other photos I have seen can manage it. I envy you for having been in a position to take these photos - to be able to get so close to these places that feel so ancient. I think you really know what you are seeing here, Swiatek.
