Photographer’s Note
Another side to the urban landscape of Hong Kong. This is taken from the Big Buddha, which surprisingly, is on the same island as HK international airport.

Hi Chris, strong contrast here between the very green foreground and the background, in addition to the intense green colors I like here the shape of the middle tree.

Bonjour Chris,
Merci !

Interesting trees in the foreground. The mountain in the background looks very impressive in this perspective. The color is very distinctive to the foreground, that gives a nice effect. Well done.

We've already seen some of these HK surprises in Andrew Orme's photos, and this is another good example, Chris. Simple, but well-made shot in which the way that the upward line of treetops echoes the mountain shape in the back is well applied for the compo.

Nice one Chris, Not your best but even very nice. The trees works as a sort of siloets and in the behind the big mountain, with lovely colour, very nice job

Last thing that I would expet from a shot from HK is nature, Chris, I would expect a very densed urban view. This what makes your shot very special, with no traces of city, people, buildings or any artifivail object. Nice and tranquil.

Very strong composition here, Chris. I'm tempted to darken the mountain just a tad, but ontly tempted. Elements work together here quite nicely!

Very nice POV with a cleaver use of the trees as a frame to that imposing mountain. Also like the haze at the back which enhances the sense of distance.
