Une vue de la basilique de la mission Dolores qui est située dans le district Castro de San Francisco. La mission a été fondée en 1776. La photo a été prise lors d'un tour organisé d'une journée de San Francisco et de sa région. Il y avait beaucoup d'obstacles qui empechaient de photographier l'église au complet.

A view of the mission Dolores Basilica which is located in the Castro district of San Francisco. The mission was founded in 1776. The photo was taken during a one day sightseeing tour of San Francisco and its region. There was many obstacles which prevented a full picture of the church.

You did reasonably well framing & composing considering all the obstacles & wires in the way. A pity town planners give scant regard to such things. Adequate sharpness & good colour. Merci pour ce partage!

Salut Pierre,

belle photo de cette basilique à l'architecture particulière. La personne en avant-plan donne une idée de grandeur de celle-ci. Le bleu turquois de la coupole contraste bien avec le bleu du ciel.

wow 1983! interesting scan of the past.

I imagine the church would be surrounded by very different scenery now? A little crop which perhaps can be avoided by vertical format? Because I think the roof looks important architecture part of it. I believe you must have faced severe obstacles.

May be vertical format is enough to include the taller tower, however I know your journey may be rush, clear to show a church in artistic design with carvings and statues, thanks for sharing.

Good details captured on the facade of the cathedral. Good contrast with the blue sky. I only wish you did not chop off the top of the tower on the right..maybe a vertical format choice could have been ideal? Otherwise nice work!
