The Gap is an isthmus separating tranquil Watsons Bay from the rocky Pacific coastline. Central Business District can be seen far on the right edge. South Head on the entrance to Sydney Harbour is behind the back.
10 mm wide angle shot.

Ah, i had plans to go there when i was around Sydney but for some unknown reason i never made it to there. Now seeing it back it brings back nice memories to my australia visit. A nice build up composition with the bouncing waves against rocks below....must be beautiful down there.
Have a nice day,

I had never seen this outer coast line of Sidney which is really attractive and interesting, really a wonderful place to live! I like the fine sense of depth and distance that the picture shows and the cromatic contrast between the bright green colour of the vegetation and the dark ocean. Also the sky contrubuite di give a sense of great space. Last but not least it's really interesting to see the sea on both sides.

What a fantastic viewpoint you found. It looks like quite an unusual geographical feature and you were able to show that well, helped no doubt by the WA. You have also managed to capture lots of detail: even the textures of the rocks. Well done

That 10mm lens sure produces an interesting image. I like it a lot.
Good colour too, you've got the wonderful sandstone cliffs perfectly, natural looking saturation.
Interesting that you got the polariser to work right across the sky, usually on a lens this wide they only work on a small area.
Now be a good chap and head off into the country will you.

Hi Kari, great shot with the wide angle lens. I see your fellow 10mmm addict, Peter agrees. You did well with the colours and exposure at this time of day too. Will look forward to any shots of the country soon. Kind regards, Lisa.

what a nice adventure celebrating New Years all the way down in Australia. I guess you must be already back to cold and dark Finland. NIce to have these great memories and images and by the way and absolutely outstanding image. The colors, light and contrast are just perfect and I love how the clouds gives an additional great pattern to these rocks and water splashing against the walls.

Hello Kari! Very nice the wild ocean on one side and the little boats in the bay on the other side, so much Sydney, full of bays, water, nice houses, water transportation, and culture - and a slightly overcast sky. This belongs to Sydney like fog to the lowlands in Switzerland. At least when I was there I guess I never had blue-blues. Excellent picture with the stone in the foreground and the view to both sides of the sea. Did you see the Sydney-Hobart sailing race that always leaves at the end of the year from Sydney? One of the most spectacular races and I could not get enough of seeing all the sailing boats. Anyway, before I get carried away with all my memories ... happy weekend ... Barbara.
