Photographer’s Note
This is the Japanese Garden of Buenos Aires, in Palermo. Its a beautiful place to spend some time when visiting this city.
The Gardens were created in 1967 by the Japanese community residing in Argentina, as a token of gratitude. Ten years later, the landscape artist Yasuo Inomata redesigned the Garden, inspired on the Zen gardens that are generally located at the main entrance of temples.
The garden occupies nearly two hectares (5 acres), and here you see a man-made lake that takes up 70 per cent of the whole garden, with its bridges and isles. The main isle is "The Gods Island", on the right side of the red curved bridge, or the "Good Venture Bridge".
The flora comprises 150 species, most of them brought from Japan. The main attractions of the place are the Monument to the Japanese Immigrant - as a homage to the founding community - and the Peace Bell used every year to celebrate the world peace day. The park offers also the services of an oriental food restaurant and a cultural place called "Tea House", that offers exhibitions, shows and conferences related to the Japanese culture.

Hello Zeca,
A lovely and peaceful scene, where the colour palette is outstanding and adding a lot to the image quality!
The fine light enhances the richness of the palette, and of course the red elements contrast well with the greenery...

hi Zeca,
I like a lot how the red bridge and flowers stand out against the blue and green surroundings, and how the converging shorelines of the pond lead the eye towards these colour accents. very nice work, my compliments.

I do enjoy that kind of surprise, when you discover another country in a "daylife" place. Looks japanese, no doubt. Classical composition, but it was the only choice for that subject and that place.

Olá Zeca,
já começou bem com esse canhão. A cena remete àquelas pinturas impressionistas.

what a fabulous shot! That light and those colors are just extraordinary. I love the long shadows and the gorgeous reflections of the bridge, the way the flowers echo the red, the deep richness of the colors. Oh my, that is an awesome shot.... Wow! The light is just... amazing. Many congratulations for such a wonderful shot! Warm regards,

There is a Japanese Tea Garden very similar to this in San Francisco, California. The red colors in the bridge and the Azalea bushes add so much highlight to the lovely view shot in September. I image the weather is still quite similar in December. The note augments the photo beautifully.
Um abraço,
Bulent
