Photographer’s Note
For anyone interested in urban transit systems, the light rail network serving the new towns around Tuen Mun,at the west end of Hong Kong's new territories, is a must. It's an amazingly complex network of tracks, with a very refrequent service, giving the whole thing something of the feel of a model railway. Here a two car train approaches Tuen Mun town centre.

A great urban view! Good feel of depth: curves, two trams (one close, one far), an enormous block of apartments in the background. The number of floors just astonishes: more than twenty and that's not all! There's a mountain or a hill in the furthest background which makes the whole compo even more impressing. The posts and cables do not spoil the picture: they are a serious contribution to the sense за perspective.

hi Richard
still a train enthusiast, i see. this is a good illustration of the light rail and a great urban view from HK indeed. good light and colors, nothing over the top, and a well chosen point of view and framing. did you wait for the second train going the opposite way, to go round the bend in the background, or were you just lucky? informative. well done. tfs
btw., how do you find the G9? i have a good feel about it.
best regards,
Mike

A perfectly framed shot, Richard.
Excellent detail and colours on the trains - and nicely positioned on the s-shaped track.
I also like the perspective along the track - leading to some of Hong Kong's greenery.
Best regards,
Andrew

Hi Richard,
Excellent PoV, timing and framing. You needed some luck too to get two passing trains/trams so well positioned.
Huge building gives very urban Hong Kong style background.

Hello Richard,
A great capture of these tramways. I like the point of view with the curving tracks which make a fine graphical contrast with the heavily urbanised backdrop. The repeating motifs of the overhead wires add to the graphical interest. The yellow tram adds a nice splash of colour to the otherwise drab surroundings.

Ah! If it's trains ,it has to be Richard. I am waiting for your book on Trains of the World. This one is nice too, curling with the rails into the frame and that splash of yellow singing out against the cool grays. regards Kevin

Nihao Richard,
LRT trains of course, and I like them as well as other things on rails, but this being HK I also find the overloaded urban environment interesting on this image, although here in the NT you can get a bit of green in the frame.
Have a nice day JY
