Northern Encounter Photo

Photographer’s Note

This is the kind of encounter you can make in northern Finland, and in other scandinavian countries as well. Though they move around freely, reindeers are domestic animals, so each one has an owner.

They can pop up everywhere and have no lights on at night, so drive carefully !

Très bien jean-Yves pour l'instantané, bravo ... bien sûr le manque de luminosité rend la photo un peu terne.

ca me rappelle l'ete dernier en laponie! il fallait être toujous tres vigilant car ces bestioles deboulent qu'il y ait des voitures ou non! merci pour les souvenirs que ca evoque en moi :)

Amazing catch Jean! I like it very much! You have those things all the time unespected...
Very well done with old camera and scanner. Composition is very succesful and neat, from good angle taken. What a luck that all three animals are just on the way and thus very good visible.

ca c'est d'être là au bon moment...heureusement que tu les as vu...qu'elle élégance...magnifique ...en les voyant ))) je me rapelle BAMBI...quelle merveille d'avoir pu assister a ce défilé...on dirait l'effet d'une toile de peinture de chasse gentille sans danger pour ces magnifiques bêtes...car en ce moment la chasse est ouverte...merci ...amicalement BI

Well done capturing the reindeers on the prowl, Jean-Yves. The authentical drivers seat perspective works fine and the animals are pretty well recognizable. Good post-work to make this older shot still appear fresh and crisp.
