Photographer’s Note

La Boca is one of the most colorful barrios in Buenos Aires. Its brightly colored buildings give the area a very festive appearance.
Italian immigrants were the first settlers of La Boca, and the working class neighborhood was Buenos Aires' first port. Today the buildings in the barrio are painted in bright colors. We wandered down the famous pedestrian street of La Caminito, which was named for a popular tango song. Many local artists were selling their wares, while others danced the tango for the many visitors. (source: About.com)

I visited the Boca region in Buenos Aires and I also got to go to a Boca Juniors game also, which was one of the best football games I have been to. It was a shame it wasn't against River Plate though. The thing I enjoyed in Boca was the colourful art and colourful houses in Boca especially the deep blues and yellow (the stadium is very colourful indeed). Your capture shows the colours of superbly and brought back some memories from my South American trip. I will have to go back there and finish the splendid continent off. I see your from Colombia, I ran out of time but I have promised to go and see your homeland, Northern Brazil, Bolivia and then I will be happy.

Hola Maryori,

The quaint simplicity of the barrio just surprises and captures our eye with its colourful rendering of character applied to their homes. Despite some of the gutters are dilapitated the exterior finish gives life to it.

This is when the ordinary opens its beauty captured by a photographer named Maryori ;)

When I visited this place I concentrated my attention croping the colors and shapes, doing something very clean. Here you wanted to show the real life there, the colors and some dirty details at same time and I liked it too. very nice colors and framing

Parece que todos los que vamos a Buenos Aires hacemos una parada en La Boca, Calle Caminito, si no lo hacemos no hemos estado en tan bella ciudad. Me gusta mucho el colorido de tu foto y tu excelente POV. Tus dos WS están muy buenos también. Para ver mi foto de La Boca: AQUI estoy loco por volver.
