Photographer’s Note

Dover is situated at the edge of La Manche, in 35 km of French coasts and cape Grey-nose. It is thus the city of the United Kingdom the closest to France. This situation in fact the main transit port between both banks of La Manche, notably towards the ports of Calais and Ostend. More than 18 million passengers pass in transit there annually. Dover is famous for its white cliffs of chalk, indicated by the traditional expression " Falaise whites of Dover". Here a distant sight of these cliffs and the piers of the port.
