Photographers Note
A probable father and son, settled on a bank, in front of the Aleppo Citadel...
Father probably giving his son advices, his son listening, yet rejecting. A typical father/son duel in action, still in a totally silent mode, them being the only ones hearing what was being spoken ...
They were so much in concentration that, did not even notice me taking them for a long time.

Selam sevgili Deniz,
Tebrikler
Selam ve sevgiler

Hi, Deniz.
Beautiful large scene where each element is in its place. I like the light, the shadows of the lamps, and this scene with too men.
Good work, as always.
Best regards. Grazyna.

Kiskanclik yapacaktim :)

Deniz,
the dual aspect of the the two person and the two lamps (on as a shadow) is already good enough. With your composition well worked out showing that you know how do that, where to place yourself, with the right angle of light and the right moment of gesticulation makes this another perfect post. The B&W fits again extremely well focusing on the graphical aspects of the place.

This is a beautiful composition.
Fantastic lighting that really helps textures stand out, particularly the ones on the walls.
Love it.

iki vurucu nokta ... 1. sağ üst köşedeki lambaların benzerlerinin gölgesi, 2. adamların bu kompozisyondaki pozisyonu... ikisi aynı karede.... enfes... tam "gözüne sağlık" türünden... bravooo...

Hello Deniz,
nice composition and POV of a quite district of Syria.I like the moody atmosphere and the shades, especially that on the vertical stone wall. The B/W version is splendid and the wall create a nice texture and make the shot more 'particular'.Well done.

Merhaba Deniz,
Oh Syria ? A not so often seen country which is nice, it may not be the most fascinating corner of the city but the BW is good, the talking people add a bit of animation and the shade of the street lamp is quite funny.
Have a nice day JY

A special one Deniz, an eternal scene repeats itself here, but what a setting ! And even though they do not see you, one feels your connection to them...your eyes on them...You have it all, the men arguing, the light the light the light...the ancient walls graphically disposed and rubbed by time and people, the sky above, and that reflection of the lamp on the wall, the cherry ont the cake. Lots of mood, of presence, strong and beautiful.!
Hugs and smiles

Merhaba Deniz,
A timeless image, amazingly interesting for the stories that we can imagine around what they are talking about and for the compo. Its style reminds me a classic photo (Cartier-Bresson?). The shadow of the candle on the wall produces a strange effect that puzzles us at first sight, because the only candle in the image is behind the shadow.
Congratulations! It's one of the photos that has impressed me more lately in TE.
Regards, José.

Excellent quality and perfect B/W conversion, characterize your photo Deniz.
Very good the placement of the two men to the down left corner that gives enough space to the area around, achieving thus a very good imprinting of the environment area while simultaneously the attention stays to the mainly subject, which is the two men's discussion.
I like very much the shadow of the light on the wall.

For sure you know better.
For me the scene is much more enigmatic. Not only because I can imagine some other explanation concerning the reason of discussion. A master and his pupil for example... Think that's because I'm pacifist I don't like idea of duelling ;)))
But also there is a touch of mystery creeping around (perhaps cause of the shadow of the lantern). Sure I do like very much the surrounding - imposing and greatly composed.
Greetings T.
PS. Btw great bw work here :)
