Photographer’s Note
The mountains behind Rogers Pass in Glacier National Park are coated in new snow, as seen from Illecillewaet Campground. This area has many walks up into the high country, but you also get great views from the highway on the bottom of the valley. The campground is just off the highway.
Scanned from a slide. Polariser used to cut down the glare of the snow. I underexposed to stop the snow from burning out, and to turn the foreground trees into silhouettes. I also used an unsharp mask in photoshop to lighten some of the darker areas and bring out detail in the clouds.

Hi Vincent:
No points? The foreground is lacking in detail, but it's a nice image nonetheless with that bit of low-lying cloud, the fresh snow, and those beautiful skies. Quite nice overall.

Hey Vincent,
A nice photo: A bit dark in the foreground, but that`s the way it sometimes is, because of the lighting. Better the underexposed FG than the overexposed BG. A lovely scenery, with beautiful lighting in the BG.
Regards.
