Photographer’s Note

I recently visited Washington DC (my first visit in about 35 years). During my two-week stay there I visited the Simon Mall in Pentagon City, Virginia, just outside Washington DC. It is on the metro line and just 12 minutes away from Farragut West station in downtown DC where my hotel was located.

The Mall is an exciting and vibrant place. Crowded with people, mostly youngsters, there are scores of shops selling everything from ice-cream to sophisticated electronics and fashionable cloths. A very colourful place to be too as you can see from this photo.
