Photographer’s Note

There was a folk fair in my city today, so I went there to see what is going on...
It was quite nice there, I saw some interesting scenes and some interesting faces. And I really liked the face of this man, he was just a visitior like me. I tried several times to capture his face, but somehow I couldn't succeed. And in the end I was rerally determined so just before going back home I tried again - I just stood near to him and pointed my camera at him. Finally...

I'm definitely convinced that is not the place which matters. You could make wonderful portrait in any place in the world ! I like his eyes very much, he looks smart and wise. Great use of the ambiant light and of a shallow DOF. I do like this narrow cropping. Well done again Maciej !

nice portrait maciek! close, sharp, nice crop and well balanced . i like this capture very much! glad you dared to shoot! i know how difficult and embarassing it is or can be to shoot people, and usually we get by with a nice smile and even better if we share the result with our digital camera;-) we usually get the authorization to shoot some more...;-)

A great portrait Maciek! A lot of character in that face and the eyes are so deep, well brought to us by youre skills. It might work in a hard cropped version too, you would loose the enviroment but win on concentration instead.
