Photographer’s Note

Daily-life....Night-life...in Brussels, a night-shot in the Beenhouwersstraat. I like the angle which I've chosen, but the quality is not a very good one, but I can't make it better from here....
Maybe one of you can put it in a WS, otherwise, be happy with this exmplar....

zeer ongewone plaat Hans,
Ben je hiervoor plat op de grond gaan liggen? Hij is bijzonder, de lijnen, van de straat, het terras, ongewoon mooi.

I hope the low angle and slight softness isn't evidence that you had been partaking of the local beer Hans! (but then your not a British tourist).
The low angle does work well and the mixed lighting looks good.

Ik vind je perspectief hier heel goed gevonden. De kassei-stenen op de voorgrond hebben hier echt wel een grote toegevoegde waarde. Ik dacht eerst aan één van die typische (zeldzaam wordende) Brusselse bruine kroegen toen ik de tumbnail zag. Mooi gedaan.

In this one I like your choice about angle of capture! Very fine selection.
The light reflexion on the ground is a nice detail.

Ik weet in tussen dat een laag bij de grond (wel letterlijk) schot een specialiteit wordt van u Hans, de Beenhouwerstraat zonder eters, dat moet wel zeer laat geweest zijn, zoal hdl zegt, de grote kasseistenen worden een zeer mooie aanzet bij de foto. De orange lichtje nemen wij er graag bij! John.

This is a very atmospheric capture Hans. I like the low PoV and the diagonal compo. I like the artificial light here and the reflection on the trotoir. The definotion is indeed no spot on, but this doesn't really bother me. Nice work.

Het effect is uitstekend, houd ik van de rode bezinningen over de natte bestrating, prachtige samenstelling. Excellent use of ambiant light
