Photographer’s Note

When i think of Denmark, i think of empty roads, large streched out fields, energie mills, but most of all nice small vishingships in the harbours...

I like wandering in harbours... there is always something happening... people throw around with ice to keep the fish cold, boats come in with the fresh fish, the vishermen drink a beer with eachother, longbearded men are reparing the nets, vans are rushing honking their horns... but sometimes you can capture a moment with a bit more peace in this madness...

New and old, antennas and sails, steel and wood, sunlight playing hide and seek and shadow theatre... No wonder the flying Dutchman is bound to travel to Denmark to appease his wandering soul and his aching feet. Senta is singing in the distance, the ghost of Ava Gardner's enigmatic smile hovers in his mind.
But, whether in peace or in madness, his horizon seems to be quite obstructed...

Wow! A lot of diagonals crossing, joining, following between them, that creates a splendid chaotic view. Combining this with the clear background, you have now a special atmosphere.

Very strange composition, very geometrical, almost abstract. the black is black... only the two colors pastels of the sky soften the matter. I like much because paradoxical.

Great graphics you captured here Jorrit - Esbjerg one of the major fishing harbours in Denmark - and like they says - "its smells - but it the smell of money" ;-) I like the lines and colours you got on this fine capture tanks Jorrit - I'm sure Line likes it too :-)

Excelent photo! I like all these diagonals crossing the photo. The composition is very good and the color contrast is great. Its a pitty the sky has some noise.

Hey klootzah! Ie learned alot of Dutch words because I met a girl from your city - allright she told me rukker and eihel aswell - Im sorry, but she also tought me this - Ik hou nog steeds van je hoor - was it correct? ;oD See Im really getting better.
