Photographer’s Note

The shipped dropped anchor at the bay of Villefranche Sur Mer early in the morning, for our visit to Nice and Eze. While walking the deck early in the morning I always have my camera with me and this is one of the good shots I captured.

This bay gives safe harbor to big ships because it is enclosed by land. Villefranche-sur-Mer is a small town and commune in the Alpes-Maritimes. Situated on the French Riviera, It is located about 6 km (4 miles) east of the city of Nice, separated by Mont Boron, Mont Alban and Mont Vinaigrier, and 10 km (6 miles) south west of Monaco.
