The border lions Photo

Photographer’s Note

There’s three reasons why I like to post this photo:
1) I like the get Germany on my world map
2) I saw this photo on TE and just had to take the photo when I spotted the motif
3) It’s a contribution to my theme: A pair of photo with contrast.
The fine photo from Andrew (Orme) taken in sunlight and with a nice temple as background.
My shot (of nearly the same motif) taken on a rainy day (In fact its raining) near the German/Danish border with a typically border shop as background – the sign tell the costumers (mostly Danes like me) about special offers on beer, soft drinks, wine and cigarettes.
The lions are protecting the door to a nice looking Chinese restaurant near Padborg.

Two splendid statues, good perspective, excellent colours, always very sharp and clear, the left site great detail of the snake, well seen Jeppe!

I though also immediatly to Andrew's picture when I saw this one, Jeppe! I should go also into Germany to have this country on my map... Finaly, it is also a nice picture for my theme too... Thanks, Jeppe!

Some of freinds ,today,have posted some strange shots in point of their works as usually,...Ok,here from Jeppe, with a great attention to Andrew's shot & a fine contribut to a unique theme,..Very well done for this notice,...I like it,glad you posted,Details are fine,perspective is soft but nice with this POV,colors are very real & sharp,and in a great way composed.

Very nice catch, Jeppe, and congratulations for putting Germany on your TE map :-) Good diagonal perspective that gives appropriate attention and space to the lions. It looks kind of like a twin shot to Andrew's indeed. Well captured.

An excellent shot, Jeppe. The lions look magnificent - I see you have gone for the 'wet' look ;)

I like the detail that you have managed to capture on the foreground lion, especially on its face and mane. The dragon on the pillar is a nice addition to the composition.
