Martigny, near the Alps Photo

Photographer’s Note

Martigny, une ville du Valais Suisse qu'il n'est plus besoin de présenter à certains d'entre vous.
C'est magnifiques sommets qui accrochent les nuages sont le début des Alpes Bernoises, celles du nord de la vallée du Rhône.
Entre la colline que vous voyez à l'avant plan et les sommets de l'arrière plan, passe en effet le Rhône qui se jette dans le lac Leman, non loin de Martigny. Le Rhône fait un virage à cet endroit, vers le Nord.

La photo a été prise au début de la randonnée qui allait mener une poignée de courageux trekkers au chateau de Battiaz.

Hi Daniel,
Great scene, very well captured ! Dark sky builds up a great background. Red roofs at the foreground is a real eyecatcher.

Très belle présentation de cette ville au pied des montagnes. Les nuages s'amusent à jouer les écharpes blanches et bouffantes autour des sommets.

Un beau cliché de ce village au pied des montagnes avec les maisons aux toits rouges qui semblent capter toute la lumière. Les nuages sont du plus bel effet, suspendus sur la montagne.

Hello Daniel.
Marvellous view of these mountains and the clouds. The contrast and colour is strong in the foreground, where the red roofs catch the eye. Perhaps you could crop some off the top of the photo.

Un joli souvenir à la sortie de ce fameux moulin !
La vue est splendide même au coeur de Martigny. La saturation des toits des maisons dans l'avant plan attire un peu trop l'oeil sinon, les sommets sont splendides !

Hi Daniel! excellent shot!I can admire the view to her tops of mountains! The clouds have one good but very possible presence! In your picture you have first level spj'ta that is impressively with colorations in the all composition makes the prospect good.

C'est vrai que pour certains d'entre nous il n'est plus besoin de présenter cet endroit Magnifique que Martigny :)
nous avons eu la chance d'avoir de belles journées ensoleillée.
Magnifique vue aux pied des alpes, les nuages sembles être accrocher au sommets, la couleur rouge de ces toit donne un très bel effet.
Une image très nette.

The quantity of good photos you shot those days in that area is impressive. It's a simple but pleasant view. The clouds 'dancing' on the peaks make it special.
PS: The image has three little spots on the sky. I hope it isn't dust on the CCD or if it is, I hope you were able to clean it.

Je reconnais bien cette ville que j'ai visité en 1983, en vérité j'étais un peu déçu par le centre ville mais pas par l'environnement magnifique qui l'entoure.
Belle luminosité ambiante.

Amazing ligt balance for a difficult exposure.
The composition is quite attractive with the huge mountains embracing the small houses.

Une très belle vue du Valais. très belle composition avec cette quasi-diagonale qui suit le sommet des montagnes et descend vers la gauche. Formidable le toit de la maison au centre avec ce rouge qui "claque" aux yeux.

I like this, the Alps, the clouds, and the bright red roofs, the traffic sign is abit of a nuisance but not too distracting, I would also crop a little off the top.
