Photographer’s Note
Another shot from my recent trip to London. Located quite close to my hotel, here we see the famed Lloyd's Building at One Lime Street.
I love the contrast found between the old and new- all over London.
More information on the building can be found on Wikipedia.
I hope you like the shot,
- Dan

Very nice image, Dan. As suggested by the title, the contrast between the venerable old architecture and the gleaming antiseptic-looking modern structure is well-captured. Either building alone would have made for a nice subject, but this POV with both makes it very memorable. Nice work.

Hello Dan -
Interesting juxtaposition! I was in London this past fall and saw these contrasts and it did not dawn on me to capture some of them. I looked, I saw, and I walked on - what a dummy! Maybe, I really didn't see! So this is the famous Lloyd's, wow, and they built one of the steel and glass towers right next door. I like how you have managed the light from the deep shadows to the highlights in the windows and steel, well done! Excellent image on all fronts.
Thank you for sharing.

Indeed Dan, that new lens us quite luminous. It's a great buy! It's cool to use the long focal lenghts in the cities like that to isolate parts of the city.
I like the light hitting the windows of the old wuilding, giving them a warmer tone. I'd like a bit more luminosity throughout the picture.
see you

Lots of graphic detail here. An interesting juxtaposition of two different eras. My cousin is in charge of all the computerized systems that run the Lloyds building.
