Photographer’s Note
(=>next view from Mah’bad =>sleeping in a convoy, daytime
Each of the 3 evenings that I spent in the small farmers town of Mahboobabad, there were at this junction (with the statue of Gandhi on the left) the same bullock carts waiting for the train to pass - cycles, bikes, pedestrians (me included) were passing under the barriers as the railway station was just a few metres away but the bigger vehicles (auto rickshaws and sometimes, private cars or trucks as well) had to wait for long minutes...
Again, I left on purpose all the electric wires as IMO, they are integral part of the whole scene ; I liked this kind of strange atmosphere although you'll probably think that the quality of the photo is not great (again, your advice is always welcome) - this is the one that is the sharpest of 3 shots that I took, placing my camera on the cart of a nearby veg. seller (ISO 100 !) ; on another shot, there is more traffic (and therefore, more blur that will probably have some success), but I'll need to do some improvements (and learn more).
FYI, I've added another of those convoys, day time in the same town - (not sure what they were transporting, probably grain), in a nearby road full of traffic.

I love these sodium vapour lamps across the country and the hues they create when shot well. The glow in this on is nicely controlled and used.

Hi Catherine
Good sharpness, in this superb daily life scene, with attractive warm colours, & well managed low light level exposure. I like the low shooting angle, also. Tfs!

Hi Catherine!
Really good photo with great composition and mood.
Those colors could be a little bit sharper but it's only a minor point. Good photo anyway.
Best wishes,

Catherine,
A wonderful Tonal & warm one...
Wise Idea of leaving out the Neon Light yet using its glow to make this magical & very rustic.
Also using the Electric lines & those faded paper decorations are very original.
Thanks,
Prem.

Merhaba dear Cath, my neighbour today !
Wonderfull ! Great pov and wonderfull compo. Nice dark sky builds a perfect background and picks all those nice details (specially the movie posters on walls) out of the frame.
Congratulations and thanks for sharing.

Salut Cath,

amicalement, Branko

Hi Cath,
I had seen a hindi film called "lagaan". this looks like a shot from that movie, except for the posters in the BG. Lovely composition, a little noise is there but that adds to the mood.
well done,

Dear Cath
A brilliant night shot, because of the natural-ness of the light you captured. A town I have never heard of before, but very much the small town in its ambience as shown here. The film posters & the statue sheltered like under a traffic police outpost. Very good work!
Best Regards

Don't change a thing about this photo! I visited Andhra Pradesh in 2006, and I can tell you that this image takes me right back! Everything about it, including the tangle of powerlines, really conveys what India is really like. I especially love the often-seen time gap between the oxen-drawn carts and the Tollywood movie posters!
