Photographer’s Note
A view of the outdoor pools at Szechenyi Baths located in Budapest's City Park. There are a total of nine baths, both indoors and outdoors. The baths, as you can see, are very ornate, and the Hungarians tend to come and make a day of it, bringing picnic lunches. I also had a very nice foot massage from a very strong Hungarian here :-)

Ahhh, I was there a few years ago, thanks for taking me back! ;o) This very wide shot gives a good impression of the place and the lovely feeeling of piece despite the noisy tourists and locals. Exellent.

Good shot! I really like the way you've captured a day of relaxation for all these people. A couple of suggestions though, firstly I think a bit of rotation may help - try about 1.75°CW and see what you think, secondly I'd probably sharpen it a bit more too - I think there's a little bit more fine detail that you could bring out! I love the composition, and the yellow/blue theme works nicely too. Nicely captured :-D

for me, this photo appears d'un other time; it not exist more in France of such public baths; the blue of water and the yellow of the building give a seizing contrast; one would say a comic strip very beautiful picture

Very nice sharp pic, nice colours, interesting subject. I kinda would've liked to have seen a bit more of the bottom of the fountain though (in order to mirror the curve of the pool with the same half complete shape of the fountain. Very nice!

Hi Mimi, this is a lovely Hungarian daily life scene. And I really mean that, because it really IS daily life there. I spent a mornig in this bath last october, and it's lovely to view all those people there. It was very pleasant, and that's actually what your picture renders very well.
Thanks for bringing back memories!

Nice daily life photo, Mimi, good colours and depth, maybe it could have been better to enlarge the view a little bit, to include the whole fountain at least and possibly also the pool, but I don't know how far to the right it goes.
Nice place and note.

Dear Mimi, very interesting picture. One would think that Kings & Queens would go there... I especially like how you concentrated on the long building while cutting the pool and the water spring. Well seen, thanks for sharing. Yours, Jan

Speaking of taking me back, this reminds me of my childhood. I spent most of my summers here before I was 10. Then I moved to Canada. Well captured image. Your composition gives order to this busy scene, with the rhythmic arches and fountain balancing the tower, without falling prey to boring symmetry. Sharp focus, nice sky, good colours. Thanks.

Glad you likes this place, not one I've been to, but looks very similar. Nice shot, but a bit of a tilt.

Sneaky sneaky!! They refused to let me take photos while I was there. God I loved that spa...so cheap to get in. The best part about it is the indoor saunas. They are so hot, it becomes unbearable after 5-10 minutes. You run back out just into a cool pool then repeat. To anyone that haven't been there before, it's definately worth the trip!
