The Shell Family Photo

Photographer’s Note

I don't remember many about that family, just that we met there outside a small restaurant on a dusty road between Doc Let beach and the National Road 1, on the back of the large salt fields, on the way to Nha Trang.

We arrived there with our rented motorbikes, and they were sitted out with some baskets full of shells.
Mom and 2 sons and 2 daughetrs (one he's out of the image).
We bought some shells and offer a Fanta to the children and a toast to the mom.
We tried to talk with there but it was impossible, all the family talked just Vietnamise.
So, for us, they are still today the Shell Family.
Nothing more.

This is a typical picture from Vietnam. Of course the life is different now, but probably you could still see such scene.

Hello Paolo,

Very well picture with these family as subject.
A pity with all these different languages, but this picture his alomst be ten year old, maybe speak the people now English.

A nice shot of this family.I like how they pose and smile to you and your camera.
I have seen so many nice and warm smiling faces the last seven weeks in South East Asia and today at my first day of work I missed them allready.....and wish I can go back very soon.

I think u're one of the biggest travelers here on TE, long list of countries there:)

The shell family, I think they would be very happy to have this photo taken by u, I love their smilin faces looking straight to the camera.
Ive tried to scan some images, but the result was a disaster probably cause of the reflection of the light from the photos surface, this one still looks good.

the latest trend on TE is to scan the good oldies i guess... and this is a good example paolo... i like their happy mood and the warm colours...
