Between The Fogs Photo

Photographer's Note

Fogs,rocks and mystic rising monastеry. It is very difficult to shot this wonderful place in fogs and rains, but HDR technology help me to make this photo to see what the camera can't capture. This is one different way to see Meteroa in a bad weather conditions.

Meteora is an area in Thessaly (Central Greece). The thing that makes Meteora so special is the monasteries on the top of the rock towers. This place is something like monasteries kingdom. At the background is the town of Kalambaka it is known in all Greece and around the world.

Thats lovely, almost like a dream or from ne of those fantasy movies. The haze and the pastel lights and colours are superbly managed and handled. good work indeed Philip.

The fog and the blending of colours give a mystical dimension to the picture.

Hi Philip. Great photo. I definitely need to look into this HDR technique a bit more. The fog has given you a real moody atmosphere and the monastery is just clear enough to really stand out from the BG. Well captured and processed. Thanks for sharing.

Hello Philip,

It is not usual to get photo of this place in bad weather conditions, and it is very interesting.
The fog playing with the mountains and the monastery still well visible provide a nice atmosphere and for sure an original photo.

Strong composition, but more impressive are those clouds surrounding the monastery, how i like that effect. The mood that is created by those clouds is absolute superb, just what you need for making a good image or an excellent image which this is...i like it a lot.

What a incredible atmosphere you caught here. The HDR is perfectly used here, mostly because it can't be seen...
You managed to render all the details in the dark side of the cliff and the bright colors of the manastery as well.
