Photographer’s Note
For my next theme shot about the Tate Gallery in London I want to present you a great British TV presenter called Peter Snow, now, most of you will probably never heard of him unless of course you happen to live in Britain, I’m sure my fellow TE member Broglia will know him and the good programs he makes specially war history.
Mr Snow came to the Tate Modern to make a program about people in politics which I don’t exactly know the details but is something along those lines, anyway, because he is was in the Tate Modern I decided to photograph him during one of his program takings, what I really liked on this particular shot was that when I took it one of Mr Snow’s advisers moved towards him therefore being frozen in time in a surreal manner that you can see here.
Peter Snow was born on April 20, 1938 in Dublin, Ireland; he is a television and radio presenter in Britain. He is the grandson of the First World War general Thomas D'Oyly Snow cousin of Jon Snow which is also a TV presenter.
Along with his son, Dan Snow, Peter presented a TV series called Battlefield Britain; covering battles on British soil from Boudicca's struggle with the Romans to the Battle of Britain, in addition, Peter and Dan reunited to host 20th Century Battlefields for the Military program on BBC 2 in 2006. This covers battles all around the world and is presented in similar fashion to the first Battlefield Britain.
Peter Snow is highly respected and much sought-after as a conference and business speaker as well as a presenter and conference host. He is married to Ann MacMillan of the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation and has six children. He enjoys sailing, skiing, and model railways.
If you want to catch up with my Tate Gallery series then please click Here many thanks to all TE for your support and merry Christmas to all.

Hello Joao,
Your presentation of this random moment in time is very effective. It has a documentary style to it which matches well with the subject. I love the B/W, and the mixture of movement and stillness that alternates in the frame. Merry Christmas to you, too! :-)

hello, Joao Paulo!
Very nice action photo. Thanks to long exposure time You have reached a movement effect, which makes this photo dynamic and focuses an eye on the single object of this scene. Nice work!

Hi Joao Paulo, yes I've certainly heard of Peter Snow, an icon of British broadcasting. He became famous for the "Swingometer" which he would use during General Elections to predict the outcome of the vote, based on exit polls. It was like a huge pendulum which would swing violently from side to side, and which earned him a reputation for being a little eccentric.
From your shot it appears that he has slowed down a bit while those around him rush. Nice combination of blurred and frozen action. Looks as though the light was very poor from the photo info - so it has come out very well considering.
All the best for the Festive Season to you & your family. Roberto
