Photographer’s Note

Bantayan island is an island paradise in the province of Cebu, Philippines. Tourists fall in love with its fine white sand and crystal clear blue waters. Many of these foreigners even settled down on the island to spend the rest of their lives. They build single-cottage beach houses along the shore but as time went by, construct a couple of new cottages instead to accommodate the growing number of tourists who seeks safe haven on the splendid island. Two of the main attraction of the island is its crystal-clear waters and it's long stretch of powdery white sand. The stunning sunset will really spice those romantic walks on the beach. One of the reasons the island is famous is its peacefulness, the way a resort should be. Unsaturated beauty and a combination of sweet smiling natives made the island as it is now.

This photo was taken in April 2006. I was met and welcome by TE members from south Philippines. We all had a great time.

Hi Danilo,
I like the good quality, especially of the water, but not only that. That roof is well placed I think it would be stronger in the impression if there were no people. But anyway, good strong colours and a clear capture.

Now why didn't think of this shot ... and to think I was sitting at the veranda looking at this. Certainly a great POV ... from the angle looks like you took this from one of the beachfront cottage. Ahhh ... I truly miss this place. Adding human elements add great value to the compo. The gradient colors of the waters contrasting the white sands is just fantastic. I always heard about Cebu as a great place for diving but also very famous for the guitar makers.

Belle photo de ce paradi sur terre, les nuances de tons de cette eau sont magnifiques. que j' aimerais me trouver la bas plutot que d' etre chez nous ou il fait froid et mausade. Jolie couleurs du ciel au fond de la photo, on dirait le notre, enfin souvent, parce que aujourd' hui il y a du soleil.

Superb shot from the paradise with a very good note, Danilo. Fantastic the impact of this umbrella in the water. The resulted atmosphere is both atractive and surrealist, with strange contrasts of grey sky, dark blue water, stunning clear blue water, white sand, green water and white sand again.
