Gorges du Pont-du-Diable # 2 Photo

Second of a short series of shots taken last summer to show you this incredible place , hope you like .

From Wikipedia :
Situées sur le parcours de la dranse de Morzine, les gorges du Pont-du-Diable offrent un remarquable exemple d'érosion dans les préalpes calcaires du Chablais, en Haute-Savoie.

La rivière, alors qu'elle se trouvait déjà dans une vallée encaissée, a rencontré une barrière de calcaire — les rochers de la Garde — remontant au crétacé, puis recouvert à nouveau au jurassique. Cette configuration, a été érodée au fil du temps par cette rivière impétueuse, formant ainsi un splendide défilé.

Aujourd'hui, dans un environnement forestier exceptionnel, la dranse de Morzine s'engouffre dans cette fissure profonde en partie souterraine et dominée par une arche naturelle impressionnante : le pont du Diable.

A wonderful capture!
I like very much the downwards POV and the magnificent view caught.
It's not an easy shot, and you managed pretty well with the slow exposure.
It's so enjoyable all the colours seen on the walls of the gorges.

Très impressionant ces gorges, les travail de l'eau sur la roche est spectaculaire, avec ce vert ceu ces caillous poli, cette mousse, et un mangigique cadrage, superbe.

Se gola profonda non fosse un'accezione in lingua italiana con significati altri, molto "altri", direi che questo orrido lo è veramente.

We can see you're in the mountains just by the water color in the far end, I like how the clear area stands out from the framing darkness, but I think I'm currently using a too bad screen to fully appreciate it.

Giorno Stefano,
non sono facili questi scatti, così come quelli nei sottoboschi con un'alta dominante verde, eppure tu sei riuscito a ricreare i colori e cogliere l'atmosfera fiabesca di queste pareti muschiate della gola con grande nitidezza...molto bravo.
Sembra una località molto interessante, conosco poco della Francia...mi informerò.
