Hello Evren,
A good POV with the man in the foreground and the Galata bridge going diagonally into the picture. The very sparse colours create a strange and moody atmosphere. This is very much in style with the old photos featured in Pamuk's book.

Hi, komshi,
A very nice photollok at this splendid and various city. I like its cosmpolitain look.
The shot is very impressive and expressive. The red qnd white parasol and the pastry vendor's trail is a nice contrast against the grey gamma.

Splendid shot, Evren, everything seems to be absolutely in the right place in the frame - a powerful atmosphere emanates from this so ordinary scene, all down to your advanced skills as a lensman... Neat how the background turns naturally monochrome. Great stuff!

hello Evren,

I like this one too, it is very different from the India-photos but the grey works very well here. THe little car and umbrella are very funny with the red and white, like you choose thát colour to be there. The golden horn ... more the grey horn ... but, still very nice :))

There is something really wonderful in the mutedness of this image Evren - almost like the whole scene is covered in a volcanic dust and the world is coming to an end ...but there bravely in the centre the ubiquitous Simit seller - still bright and red and stripey even as the rest of the world turns grey - a very nicely arranged composition.

Birazdan boşalacak yağmurun telaşı var sanki ortalıkta. Kasketli amca Eminönü iskelesine doğru hızlı adımlarla gidiyor :) Simitçi "fırtına kopmadan elden ne çıkarsam kârdır" diye düşünüyor olmalı. Arabasının ve şemsiyesinin renkleri ortamın gri atmosferine güzel yakışmış.
