Sunset in the Summer Palace. Summer Palace is the typical classical garden in China. It consists of the Longevity Hill and the Kunming Lake with a total area of 290 hectares.

I like this one. A beautiful use of silhouette and mountain shadows, and great handling of the post-sunset colors in the sky. It gives a feeling of timelessness which is most appropriate to a place called "Longevity Hill."

I can't decide if I like the long portrait style or not. I think on the whole I would prefer to crop the top to help balance the bottom. The thirds rule. However it does not really matter as this is quite a stunning image, one of your best I might say, simple and very elegant. Love it
