Photographer’s Note
A view of a part of the Writing On Stone Provincial Park. This is a sacred and special landscape of spiritual significance to the Blackfoot people who hunted and travelled the great plains since the beginning of time. The Blackfoot has a traditional culture and religion based on a long and intimate relationship with the land. There are Blackfoot carvings or petroglyphs and paintings or pictographs the cover the sandstone cliffs. These are protected here as a living legacy to the spiritual connection of a people with a place.
I felt inspired when I visited this place. My previous post is also of this place.

This surely looks like a painting to me....the colours are very good and the landscape has been very well taken...how did you get those blown out parts on the right..??? what is it..??

Hi, Andre,
This shot has a mysterious and even spooky mood.
Yet,it's interesting and the colours seem to be surrrealistic.
One might even detect an outer scape here:)
Nice, I like it.

Hi, it is an inspiring place and people who have been (and still are...) mistreated...in my opinion.
I like this very much, the stillness, the wide space...also a question about that blown out parts on the right.

Hello Andre,
Great nature shot. The rocky texture of the foreground contrasts with smooth mountains in the back. The colours are terrific. Very golden.
Great pic.

Wow Andre - I think this may be your best image ever! It certainly is one that got my attention right away. It's a brilliant landscape, with a lot of subtle details and interesting touches. I like those rock formations, so strange and different. The lighting is amazing too. Superb!

Hi!
Impressive list of countries you have visited!
This is an interesting shot with good notes.
A special mystic mood is resting over this landscape, and the colors are great. Good POV and composition. Is it fog in the upper half to the right?

Hi Andre
love the rock textures in the foreground, leading to the wide open space and the mountains in the background, the bright light on the right hand side is a little off putting, but still a very nice landscape.
Regards
Derek
