Photographer’s Note
Chicago has many different faces - the rich and business one with shops full of luxurious items, the poor one of homeless people begging for money and saying "God Bless You" even when you do not share anything with them and the very special one of people with extraordinary skills performing evenings at busy streets in the downtown for couple of dollars from people passing by. This man was a real artist performing really excellently on his clarinet. However not many people did pay any attention. What a shame.

Hi Michael
What a fantastic shot! The subject is very exquistly placed, allowing for a lot of interesting detail in the background (the cars whizzing by, the skyscrapers towering above). Even the street lamp is placed so perfectly just above the bend of the musicians arm.
Well done & TFS.

If could, I would... one thousand points. IMHO the best picture ever presented in Trekearth. PERIOD. Hats off to you!!

Hey great exposure and point of view. It's as if he is superimposed onto the background. Question. For 15 seconds did he not move?? I find it hard to believe that he stood still holding that position for that long of a time. How did you accomplish this Michael. I'm very interested in long exposures, and how to get them to look something like this!
Take care,
Brian

Ya! I'm like Brian... I wish I could know how you made it...
But anyway, I love it. Love the colors, the point of view, the moment, the light between the triangle formed by his arms, his body and his clarinet.
One of these photos where I can almost hear the sounds. Here, the music and the busy streets of a big city at night.
A photo extremely well composed...
And truly enjoyable!

I like the juxtaposition a lot between the wealth of the perons and the "inhumanity" of the city, but also its "vitality"! TFS this very good shot Michael, alain

What a back drop, that would be interesting on its own but with the note and the clarity of the muscian playing on the street it has made quite a stunning shot

WOW Michael, What a fabulous photo, there is so much to love, the lighting, the colour, the composition, quality through & through, the note is very true & street artists of all kinds are little appreciated but their talent shines through, TFS, love it, kind regards Wilson.

It's a PS trick, but...The results are quite fantastic!
Oh, well...As long as it stays on TE, I'll enjoy it.
Great job, great manipulation, great presentation.
Keep those beauties coming...I don't mind.

Wow, what an amazing photo! Or two photos, I would have to guess. This seems like it could be from the cover of a jazz magazine or something. Very nice!

Hello, Michael
Regardless of the Postprocessing, the shot with or without the man is very evocative. I plan to visit Chicago for 1 month in the fall, so I am lookinf for photo inspirations and ideas... I think I found them in your photos from there
