Photographer’s Note
One of the reasons for hiking up Mt Baker on this day was the beautiful clouds that unfolded before our view. I found the presence of snow interesting for compositional contrasts. This is on the trail up by Artist Point looking towards Mt Baker at the end these rolling hills up here. The elevation here is around 5000 feet. Mt Baker is another 5000 feet higher. Perspectives tend to change from up here.
If you look closely you can see two hikers enjoying the view on the distant trail. I love these trails up here. Being there hardly compares to sharing what you saw with a camera capture. Enjoy!

Hello Paul,
I was briefly online when this fabulous image rolled in. The composition with the diagonal structure is very effective. The presence of the two hikers/climbers is especially dramatic, offering a scale and an element of human interest.
Warm regards, Paul, have a good week.

Hey Paul,

Great shot, with a feel of the wide open spaces that you get in the alpine areas. The two people walking on the snow really make this shot, giving us a sense of the size and the isolation of nature. Well done!

Hi Paul,
Great shot here of this magnificent place - just love those huge clouds you captured so well. Great colors throughout and excellent detail and sharpness. Interesting how the shadow reaching across the center of the frame really does draw the viewer to the clouds to enjoy. Great work and TFs. Gerald

Hello Paul,
Good I opened the thumbnail, and saw these two miniscule creatures on the left side. I know it is a difficult picture because there is so much contrast. Perhaps the clouds helped to desal with it. The composition is really flawless - Have you thought about a ND gradul for white clouds ? If you have not, this may be a real good tip. Izzet

Hi Paul,
HAPPY NEW YEAR, DEAR FRIEND.
Fantastic shot.
The human presence is the best here, and the drifting clouds..
A lovely day :)
