Photographer’s Note
Mustafa Kemal Atatürk (1881 – November 10, 1938) was an army officer, revolutionary statesman, the founder of the Republic of Turkey and its first President.
If you ever consider to get a poster of Atatürk, go to Taksim and buy one from this most charming man, he will be happy.
Easy to find him in Taksim, sitting in a wheelchair with all his posters.

Ja , ja Henk,
prachtig portrait , veel finesse, heel goed fototoestel (het heeft natuurlijk geholpen), goede vergelijking met de "vader van alle turken".
Groetjes

When I was there (1997) Mustafa Kemal Atatürk was EVERYWHERE..!!!
I asked the people for permission to take their photos and guess what...
They grabbed the portrait of him ( it was ALWAYS at hand) and they posed TOGETHER!
A GOD ? A PROHET? A SALVATOR 0f the nation?
I believe he was a great man for his people, but...???
(:-)))))
Thirty years later...
Nothing's changed...
A most charming portrait Henk, you can imagine ...
Have a sunny one, bud
