The color tones are great but I'm amazed by natures ability to form these perfect similar curves into the send.

This is very nice. I would be tempted to clone out that stone though, and clean up some of the white spots. Going for simplicity is often a great idea, and you've proved why with this one.
As far as DOF is concerned, this is a case of a subtle difference between soft and out of focus. I don't mind softness in this case, but the shallow DOF leaves me wanting a bit more detail.
