Incredibly beautiful, Animesh. I don't know how to describe the picture, but I am not sure that I will have to. This is simply breathtakingly beautiful to look at. Transports me back to my early teens and my joyous moments sitting wide-eyed next to the 2nd-class train windows.

Hi Animesh.
There's nothing quite like 400asa film to give drama and effect to an image. Very beautiful. Great light. Great contrast. Very beautiful composition. Well done.
Best regards, Steve.

today must be a day where some very good photographers present photos that are a bit out of their norm, and excellent at the same time. First Sohrab, now you. Amazing landscape Animesh, such a superb composition supported by the mood of the scape, with excellent film grain. I would only try to correct the lines you have on each side of the photo. Lovely.

Animesh, I kept coming back to this shot all day, in my private breaks, to rest my eyes, fuel my imagination, delight my senses... this is SILVER all over, silver in its light, in its mood, in its patina, in its brilliance... "silver apples of the moon" perhaps, unbelieavable beauty. Poetry itself.
Into my favs.

not a common view of centered, "working" subject...i think its quite an interesting how this composition turned to be successful...the reason, i think, is the surroundiings both in the air and on the ground, exceptional, moody, most interesting...
best wishes, j.

All you do is prove my point, Animesh about your brilliance in sing BW to convey "your" Bengal. And we are the winners here. Lovely, moody landscape, heavy-laden with the impending monsoon. You are the master, my friend, and I a mangy streetshooting dog at your feet ;o)

Simply beautiful. Can't imagine this differently, even the grain adds to the composition. Splendid light. Your work is remarkable.

Hi Animesh. What a fantastic photo. I love the soft light of the 'heavy' atmosphere. The water reflections in the paddy bring the foreground and middle ground to life. Did you add grain to the image or is that natural? I'm using 400 film and, for some reason, it seems almost 'too' smooth. Anyway, I like this a LOT. Best wishes, Paul.

Today I went for a photo exhibition on landscapes by Soumitra Dutta, all his photographs for the exhibition was selected by Rai...of all the photographs I particularly liked two which were taken during the monsoon season...there's something in the air when it hits...the landscape changes dramatically....this one is pristine....
