La Grotta Bay

La Grotta is a great place located in beautiful Paleokastritsa resort. A must go place when visiting the Corfu island in Greece. On the cliffs there is a bar with some nice terases where one can enjoy a drink after a good swim. The excellent music creates a nice atmosphere, especially at night when the lights are on. Here is some information on the bar:

La Grotta bar was founded in the late 60's when the Rizos Hotelier family had the inspiration to develop a cave in the beautiful craggy bay underneath the hotel into a bar, blending perfectly into the natural beauty of the surrounding area.

Down 142 steps, today this famous Corfu beauty spot is open right through the day for drinks, snacks and a swim in the crystal clear natural blue lagoon.

In the evening, enjoy a cocktail next to the sea, listening to chill-out music ........ the ultimate romantic bar.

The picture was taken after sunset. The weather was nice, light breeze and clear sky. I used the artificial light that was reflected from a huge cliff from behind me as a light source.

Eduard, the composition is great! Except the chair I always avoid to be in my frames, the rest are stunning! Excellent PoV and light management. Thank you for sharing.

Hi Eduard,
An exceptionally well managed image with respect to the lighting. The extra long exposure has created a day-like look in the foreground area....as if you have full sun....but the background and sky reflects the lovely "blue hour" look to the photo. It's amazing to see the clarity of the water taken at this time of day. The only issue I have, is that I believe the two deck chairs spoil the natural look of the composition... but I suppose that was difficult to exclude. All the same, and very good image.

The artificial light makes this works so well, it's already a very very pretty spot, I especially like the large seastack with the tree on top.

Excelente culorile si lumina in compozitia ta! Imi place mult si varianta pe orizontala!
In legatura cu anularea unor poze...sa stii ca ai dreptate...si cind o poza e anulata, e semnalat de cineva...In fine.
Nimic nu e coret pe lumea asta...
O zi frumoasa si numai bine!

Though the landscape shots looks better & fits better in the horizontal canvas, this is a very good one in the vertical canvas & the colors are simply mind-blowing...
