On the streets of San Francisco Photo

Photographer’s Note

One of my favourite cities in the world: San Francisco.

We've been here for three days and I just couldn't get enough of it. The city feels so free, so easy going and laid back. It reminded me a lot of Amsterdam, the people are very nice and open minded, but with just an American touch. Often I find the cities and the city-people just too fast, too anonymous. San Francisco is nothing like that. It's a fantastic place to chill out, walk around, meet people.

This is the first shot I made in SF this year and somehow I really like it.

This street is Stockton street, standing east of Union Square looking north towards Sutter and Bush street.

Hey Lieke,

Ook één van mijn favoriete steden in de VS, precies om dezelfde redenen als je in je note aangeeft!

Ik vond vooral LV en de rit door de woestijn een ramp en juist daardoor was SF misschien wel een verademing. Over de brug hard gelopen???

I like your black and white - colour mixing it makes for an interesting photograph. I agree with your comments about San Francisco - I have only been once about 15 years ago but am going back next year as my daughter is living there and am really looking forward to it.
When I looked at the original photo the main difference is the sky as the buildings a are mainly grey. Well done
