Photographer’s Note

The Cathedral of Bern, considered the greater Christian temple of Switzerland, was born catholic in 1421 following the planes of Matthäus Ensinger. During the construction happened the Protestant Reformation that extended by great part of Switzerland. The protestants applied to their principles draining the temples of any image. In Bern they respected the decoration of the Eardrum that is in the main door and that represents, with alive colors, the End´s Day Judgment where the souls fulfill their destiny according to the works that had done in life. The presence of these two figures called the attention to me: who are? what shows?... now I do not know, but with your aid, that knows. I have added a workshop with a view of the main door of the Cathedral.

I have trimmed and a bite leveled the image and increased the contrast slightly to emphasize the colors.

No tengo ni la más remota idea.... aunque por las pintas parecen un Rey y una Reina que están tomando nota de la lista de la compra para ir al supermercado.

Hola Pepe, bromas a parte, pienso que has hecho un buen trabajo de encuadre, color, luz y definición, aunque quizás sea una imagen que muestra poco de lo que tiene alrededor.

el encuadre es perfecto para mostrar con todo detalle estas dos figuras que no tengo ni idea quienes son o qué representan (he buscado en la red pero no he conseguido descubrirlo) sólo esto: "Esta representación del Juicio Final es una de las obras de arte del gótico tardío más destacadas de Europa. Su creador fue Erhard Küng, contramaestre del templo, y data de las dos últimas dos décadas del siglo XV.
En el tímpano, 161 personajes simbolizan el cielo y el infierno. En el parteluz, es decir, entre las dos puertas, tenemos una Justicia y dos ángeles que miran respectivamente a las vírgenes listas y a las necias"

Nada más, pero creo que la foto es buena, y quizá sería interesante mostrar donde están ubicadas, porque la Catedral de Berna es fantástica. Quizá en otra entrega podermos ver tu foto sobre ella.
