Photographer’s Note
Hello everyone, appologies for a long absence. Work has taken over recently.
Anyway, here's one of my typical shots. I've always been rather fond of the brick warehouses behind Riga station, so I wa pleased to see last week that they are being tastefully refurbished as smart new office space. The tram seemed like an appropriate compo device.

This could have been an interesting shot Richard, but the composition is much too loose. It might not have been possible with the camera you were using, but I think zooming in a lot closer so that we just had the tram and the guys pushing the barrow set against the brick walls would have worked a lot better.
We need to be able to see the faces of the passengers, read the advert on the tram and so on, to get a sense of involvement in the image.
If you couldn't have zoomed closer, you were always left with the poor man's zoom - your feet!
Cheers,
Ben

Nice tram shot Richard. I like the colors a whole lot and the way the tram enters the frame part way from the right. Good to se you uploading again.

Richard,
I know this place, and it is hard to get on the photo in such a way that it looks interesting. Maybe a B&W would have worked.
I like that you included the tram, but it should have had more contrast.
tough place ;)

David
