Photographer’s Note
I should have had a tripod with me. I ended up shooting by holding the camera on my knee. This was the best of the 10 shots. I quit after a few minutes because I wanted to enjoy the show over Lake Union.

A pretty steady knee! It's a good capture of fireworks and the Seattle skyline. A little PP on the overwhited part of the reflection might be useful.
You confronted the photographer's dilemma - shoot or enjoy? I've seen this phenomenon especially at solar eclipses; people tend to go to either extreme. You were right to stop when you did.
