Photographer’s Note
After getting through the busy entrance of Fatehpur Sikri we found that the space is big enough for everyone. The architecture of the mosque is impressive and you can wander around for longer than you have time to, although the tourist tours keep mainly to the center, to visit the two buildings seen at left of this view. The colorful things you see spread around are a kind of market. The entrance seen on my previous post is at the right of this image. There's another one which is seen in the background.
Out of the main touristic areas, you can find barbers and many kids, which is a bother because they follow you everywhere, out of curiosity, but mostly in search of bakshish (donation to beggars). These two seemed to be enjoying posing for my camera.

If only the kids were a bit bigger in the frame, I think you would have had a winner here, but as it is it's still a very appealing shot. Great use of the strong horizontals in the scene, and with the raised platform (and kids) in the foreground the image has a good sense of depth.
I also like how the foreground is so empty in comparison to the busy background.
Good work Ricardo.
Cheers,
Ben

Interesting shot, but the kids are rather lost in the vastness of the square. Maybe a crop which just shows them and some of the tiles of the square (I go in for minimalism). I've run out of WS credits for the day or I might try it.

Kids in the foreground are important element of the photo. Smart compo.

The architecture is wonderful with all the arches and repeating decorations on the top. The kids in the foreground are almost incidental to the image which would work with or without them, although I must say they are a nice feature of the shot. I see you're still finding some pearls among your India photos.

Ricardo,

Hi Ricardo,
Yes the place is huge and you've made it look that way! The tiny kids increase that effect too!
Well composed image with a good FG with children and platform and a fine view on the monument in BG

The people add scale to the vast size of the square. Good pov, with excellent colour, lighting & sharpness. I like the composition using 3 cupolas. Tfs!

Excelente POV, enquadramento e belas cores.

Again, I am happy to see a more recent view of Fatehpur Sikri, the place seems frequented so much (because the proximity of the Taj Mahal) and everything seems very organised now ; I recognise here your interest for kids, but you were probably sitting and relaxing in the shade and the children were maybe a bit intimidated by you, as they are a bit far... Cute, nonetheless !
TFS, regards,
Cath.

Hello Ricardo,
An interesting and spacy place!
The composition seems simple, but the kids are well balanced by the dome to the left side...
A strange mix of a house of worship and a house of trade!

Hej Ricardo,
Great view over this square. There is a lot to see here, so there is a nice lively atmosphere and some attractive colours too. The mosque looks great in the background with a nice repetition of the little domes on the wall. The two children are a superb inclusion in the foreground, very well done!

Josep

Funny, these 2 kids in this huge courtyard... Makes it original and produces life in a place where there is no more.
Inspired because I'm not sure a lot of people would have composed it like that.

Ola Ricardo
You did get a really wide angle for this. A very appealing shot, where horizontals are very strong. The BG is very busy & we seem Salim Chisti's marble tomb on the left breaking the red sandstone structures. I wish the kids were a bit closer, because they certainly look interested. Quite well done my friend!

Ricardo, the two kids in the right foreground are vital for this image to work. Nice to have them looking straight into your camera giving a real anchor in this image that would otherwise make my attention get lost in the vast area of this mosque. The sky is somewhat dull, but probably nothing that you could have changed in this regard. I think that even a polarizer wouldn't have improved the appearence.
Abracao, Peter

Hi Ricoardo,
I think this is a powerful image .. that vast structure and your depth really amplify the smallness .. the joyful vulnerability of the children.
Very nice.
take care,
