Photographer’s Note
"The machine of a dream
Such a clean machine
With the pistons a pumpin
And the hub caps all gleam
When Im holdin your wheel
All I hear is your gear
When my hands on your grease gun
Oh its like a disease son
Im in love with my car
Gotta feel for my automobile
Get a grip on my boy racer rollbar
Such a thrill when your radials squeal
Told my girl Ill have to forget her
Rather buy me a new carburetor
So she made tracks sayin
This is the end now
Cars dont talk back
Theyre just four wheeled friends now
When Im holdin your wheel
All I hear is your gear
When Im cruisin in overdrive
Dont have to listen to no run of the mill talk jive
Im in love with my car
Gotta feel for my automobile
Im in love with my car
String back gloves in my automolove"

As Preetie said, a fun shot...simple and concise with good colour. Depth of field works well here as they work their eyes through the many cars.

Gal,if my son will see this image and will start to ask about these cars...I will kill you:)
See in his room we did a similar arrangement with mirrors and wood :)Good focus on cars and expressive human expressions :)

Nice work here, Gal--you used the background people to add a bit of flair to the cars that makes this interesting on a social level rather than just a picture of some cars... and beyond the presence of the people, you waited until the facial expressions were of interest, as well.
Thanks!

Hello Gal,
Ca fait rèver petit et grand, fille ou garçon. Belle prise, ou l'on peut s'imaginer les commentaires des personnes sur le fond.
Bien vu.

Beautifully framed, Gal! Lovely bokeh and the look of fascination in their faces is wonderful too.

Queen! I use to love Queen a lot. Easy picture here, but very well built. I would love to see all the minichamps rows in perfect focus but the way it is now isn't bad at all. It creates several layers of depth and that's cool also. Light is good. The reflective material of the die cast models produced nice details in the highlights. It would be super to see a kid interacting in these scene, but you know... the models aren't for kids. At least, that's what says in their boxes... I like this one.

very cool gal... (love queen)... i wish there was more of a connection between your subjects and the toy automobiles though... they seem less than enthused.. perhaps if you'd have captured some kids :-).. but of course it would've been more difficult to arrange their faces so nicely between the display shelves... a nice layered shot overall, just really too bad they seem so detached from the cars... also (just maybe nitpicking here) but i wish the wheels on the bottom weren't cut...

Love those kinds of shots, Gal - tried my hand at a few in an old market in Tokyo but yours is, how shall I put it...complete - grownups fascinated by toys still.
Very nice work,
Francis

Just swap the cars with some of latest Nitaxanon cameras or lenses, and you'll get a typical portrait of TrekEarthers.
What surprizes me here is that the woman seems to be more interest in the toys than the guy.
On a personal range, I have never been attracted with small cars, rather tell me about Märklin electric trains (that only retired people like currently), plane scale models or even small soldiers (I remember having a complete company of british royal guards, spanish guardia civil or medieval knights...)... but even though I had a drawer full of Solido or Dinky toys cars, I think I barely enjoyed them. (So little in fact that it took me 20 years to get my car licence.)
btw, you're the only one of the three people here who seems to be inside the small car shop... so you really love small cars, do you.

How do u do that? When I look at your photos, they bring me to some other dimension, I really feel enchanted, it's very similar to the feeling I get when I'm listening to pink floyd. I don't care if the photo is blurred or full of technical imperfections, I forget about that, I don;t think about it, I'm looking at it and think that it can't look different cause it's already perfect like that. There's just so more than just a photography.

Yea this is a nice one with their facial expressions. It's he is explaining why he likes the model of the BMW 650i coupe better than the blue station wagon in the middle. Great interaction photo.

Hi Gal,
That is a very selective DoF you have choosen here, but the effect is great! One level of cars sharp, the next one that is a bit more to the front is blurred slightly. Great view you give us here. A bit of a pity you cut off the lowest level. But you had a fixed 100mm you worked with, so you couldn't quickly zoom out.
The people form a great background to the shop. Have to be honest, I have small Land Rovers in my house (and a bigger oldtimer version in the garage of my parents ;-) ). The love for cars...
Have a great weekend!

Bonjour Gal,

Granda foto, Gal, excelente post. Adoro o grafismo resultante, mas também a mensagem poética. Que enquadramento tão bem conseguido.

Very nice Gal. Perfect how you were able to postition both her eyes and his on levels where there aren't any toy cars. Simple, but very effective.

C'est propre, (presque) droit, des regards adultes qui font un saut enfance (enfin pour les hommes) accentué par les regards hors champs de netteté ...
Jolie coup d'oeil comme d'hab.

Great vertical composition with good use of DOF to isolate the people in the back.
