Photographer’s Note
Another day in Torres del Paine National Park. The weather is changing day after day, hour after hour. After days of rain, snow and even (!) sun we have experienced this great sunset near Torres del Paine peaks.
As masses of air move, they reach obstacles, like mountains, at some point. They get turbulanced and with an upward movement of air, altocumulus lenticularis clouds arise. Position of clouds like this often depends on the wind direction (they arise in the same places). I was working in Antarctica as a meteorologist and I was watching some of this clouds, and looking if they were in the same positions.
One of the most spectacular altocumulus lenticularis cloud (I have ever seen) you may see HERE

This is a magical, surreal sunset, Piotr. I love looking at your photos a lot. You've been to amazing places and seen awesome things like these unusual clouds. Here the man could have stood on the left, rather than in the middle, because I think the starring actor is the clouds, not him. Anywway, thanks for posting such beauties from the land of my dreams.
Regards from Turkey.

Hola compadre,
Now, I've been thinking how to comment on that picture, to be the most objective I can be.
Unfortunately, I ended up with the most subjective thought... "I like it", it's a good one Amigo.
Later, I turned my head upside down, and took a look from a totally different perspective.
I would say, that the picture looks as if taken from a plane. In the foreground are the clouds and in the background you got sand dunes... very interesting.
This makes it so surrealistic.
Well composed, well done.
Pozdrawiam
YYY,
Michal

Hello Piotr,
inspiring capture. The rough and jagged edges of the clouds really accentuate the sunset. Great job.

Amazingly beautiful clouds & sunset colors. The silhouette of this trekker with rope adds more interest. Regards. Latiff.

Hi Piotr:
This is one of the best shots of Chile I've ever seen. Is that you in the foreground? That backpacker makes this photo. It would be a nice sunset shot, but you've written adventure, exploration, and wilderness all over this one with the backpacker. I love those Chilean sunsets--haven't seen anything like them since I moved back to the U.S. five years ago. This one is a spectacular example. Great job.
