Photographer’s Note
I started with a severely under-exposed transparency. Luckily my scanner is able to pull out all the available detail in the shadows. Working on this image in Photoshop, trying to get something out of it, I realized that it was starting to look a little like a hand-colored postcard from the 1920s. This is not my usual procedure, but here it is, anyway. Hell S3900 scanner.
