Photographer’s Note
The heat of the day
leaves place
to the (relative) freshness
of the evening,
the already busy streets
of Rawalpindi
become even more busier
a kaleidoscope of colours,
people and goods...
My eyes are searching
the new, the odd
the flavours and atmosphere...
frequently I captured
welcoming smiles
and it's easy
to miss myself in the crowd.
Tomorrow is another day, yes
I will fly back home
and once more,
I will change my world.

excellent photo, it really stands out among other market/bazaar photos. the tight composition, the dense crowd, diverse merchandise and the warm lights perfectly convey the feeling of the "controlled chaos", intensity and dynamisms of the bazaar. excellent colours and detail too, while the composition lets the eye "go with the flow" and follow the crowd into the photo. great shot.
best,
Kristine

Mistral - excellent photo of a organised chaos, filling the frame perfectly. Clarity is good for this night shot.
Thanks,

Nice shot Luca, really shows the mass of humanity in the close quarters of the bazaar. Photo is great, clear, crisp and detailed and huge dof for a night shot, and a fast shutter speed has stopped the action with out blurring, very well done.

Wonderful shot, Luca! I really like the blank spot in the front and the way the crowd sort of just swirls around it; it gives a real daily life feeling to the image. I find myself spending a lot of time looking at this photo because there is so much to see and imagine. The lighting is also very good here.

Great capyure. I like the POV you've chosen. It helps convey the business of the place as the crowded street continues through the shot. Thanks for sharing.

Aaah, what a caleidoscope indeed... superb shot, Luca! The crowds are so multicoloured, beautiful and rather organized, there's such beauty in this flock of people... exquisitely captured... my straw hat's off to you, bravo!

Hello, Luca--
Interesting piece here, framing the neutral colors of the pedestrians in the crowd with the brightly colored artificial lights on either side. Shooting at f/5 i'm assuming you were at a pretty high zoom, and you've held it sharp for 1/40 sec. The diagonal composition, pulling from dark lower right to dark upper left, is effective as well.
Thanks!

Bellissimo questo scatto; rende davvero benissimo l'atmosfera, i rumori e i profumi di quell'affollato bazar.

Ciao Luca,
Like how you managed the exposure here: really a pleasant result.
Love the distribution of light(s) into the composition (right side, left side, background) - while the darker center makes us focus on the crowd. Beautifully rendered the atmosphere: crowded but not messy at all. Good work!

Ciao Luca,
sono mancato negli ultimi tempi (molto!) ma vedere le tue immagini è sempre meraviglioso.
Domani mattina tocca a me: torno in Ladakh!

I love this shot Luca. I love middle eastern souqs and bazaars. The lighting, color and composition all combine to make a great daily life shot of Pakistan. The one thing I also notice, and I say this just as an observation, is the number of men compared to women in the bazaar. The wires don't do anything for the photo but their really not too obtrusive either. The differing "densities" of the crowd adds a good sense of the bazaar feel also.
Great work.

What a hectic, busy place! You can almost hear the noise of this crowdy bazaar. Looks like a river of people (with islands of cars ;-) amazing sharpness as for the night shot!

Hi Luca, Like all have said... and it makes you wish to visit... one thing I am not sure about is the size of the frame. I works for me but perhaps I would have gone for a bigger picture. Anyway, lovely shot. Regards Paul.
