Photographer’s Note

Interesting to visit San Diego Zoo.

This hippo enjoyed going up and out the water.

But I am not sure that it really enjoyed this life. San Diego zoo is one of the best in the world, animal are breed well, it must be modern and echological.
But I think that in a few years zoos will finish and we'll stop to go and see animals in captivity

When i saw the thumbnail and the shot i wondered how you took this underwater shot.By reading the note only i understood its inside a glass cage.

La simpatia fatta animale... almeno nell'iconografia dei cartoni :-)
Bella e interessante la foto, certo soffre di qualità ma con questa tonnellata di simpatia davanti si può benissimo perdonare, comunque i colori sono belli e lui magnifico, complimenti Livia.

Belle photo de cet animal grâcieux dans son élément, l' eau, une fois dehors moins gracieux mais néanmoins très rapide. Très très jolis ce tatouage animalier sur sa patte avant gauche, l' aviez vous remarqué cette tete de tigre blanc??? Amitiés Thomas

Oh, Livia,
you know what? in 2002 this hippo slept in exactly the same posture!:)
Do you know that they can sleep underwater, like seals?
